WELCOME! As credentialed and experienced former public school teachers we are very proud of our high interest themes for the summer. We will also emphasize values education, social skill development and great summer fun along with our creative and enriching experiences.
CAMP APPLE TUITION is due no later than the first day of the week. Please place your check in our payment box near the sign-in sheets. Tuition should be made payable to Apple Afterschool (if you have a student at both our schools please write separate checks). Be sure to contact Minh or Mallory in advance if you need to send a post-dated check. minh.jimenez@appleafterschool.com
FIRST DAY PROCEDURES While it is natural to be a bit concerned, please try to limit stays to 15 minutes when dropping off your child (if your worried your student will be too). We will use role-playing games, the buddy system and skits to insure students have a great first day!
STUDENT ABSENCES: Please be sure to contact Camp Apple (we have a 24-hr. answering machine) whenever your student will not be attending as expected—this is very important.
WEEKLY ACTIVITY SCHEDULES are available online (downloadable pdf copies). To insure that your student is prepared for each day’s special activities please read schedules together (at least the day before) to insure your student will be excited AND fully prepared.
LUNCH/SNACKS: Please send a daily lunch and lots of extra snacks so students may munch throughout these long days. We recommend small portions that are nutritious. Each family is asked to contribute a snack for 12 as well; see activity schedules you’re your assigned date and late teachers know in advance please if you have a conflict (Apple will provide daily snacks as well—with these long active days students really need extra snacks & water).
CAMP CLOTHING: We recommend layers of comfortable clothes-labeled. SUNSCREEN: This is a vital daily habit (rain or shine) and we strongly encourage you to teach your child(red) how to quickly apply daily. Please send an extra LABELED bottle to be kept at Apple as well for reapplications as needed.
SIGN IN-SIGN OUT: Only adults listed on your emergency forms may drop off and pick up; please be sure to use your full last name when signing in/out.
ARRIVAL TIMES: Please DO NOT arrive before 8 a.m. or pick up your student after 5:30. We are very active and the days are long—please be on time.
LATE PICK-UP FEES: It is very important to have a back-up plan in place should you be running late. If you do arrive after 5:30 you will need to pay our teachers directly a late fee of $15 per 15 minutes (or portion thereof). Continued tardiness (remember these are long days and this is also a stressful experience for students and teachers who often have plans after work) may result in a discontinuance of enrollment.
