MONDAY APRIL 14: Game Day Bring snacks, favorite sports equipment for the park In the a.m. help us design our own indoor obstacle course and get ready for our own Apples-to-Apples face-off (with prizes)! We’ll also enjoy lunch and sports games so be sure to bring your favorite sporting equipment. In the p.m. enjoy funny drama skits, and help us make some delicious apple crisp (use our amazing apple peeler-corer machine). Finally, we’ll enjoy one of our most favorite movies ever, The Little Rascals!
TUESDAY APRIL 15: Monkey Day Bring lunch and a drink, books about monkeys, favorite board games (optional) We’re going bananas today as we celebrate monkeys and apes. Enjoy the monkey bars at the park, making your own delicious banana choco-chip bread (monkey’s favorite), and even a “born to be wild” dance off. In the p.m. we’ll enjoy sharing and playing each other’s board games, cool lessons about apes (with a fun monkey trivia contest) and an art lesson on how to draw monkeys.
WEDNESDAY APRIL 16: Carnival Day Bring lunch and a drink, $8 for movies (trip to movies TBA)—we will NOT be purchasing movie snacks.
It’s all about the ultimate party today as we celebrate Carnival. In the a.m. choose from bead or mask making, face painting and our own fun carnival games: bean bag toss, snowball and hoop throw, bowling and more. Later, we’ll learn some cool facts about Rio’s famous celebration and then plan our own parade complete with musical instruments. Finally, we’re off to enjoy the exciting sequel all about our two favorite parrots in the new movie, Rio 2.
THURSDAY APRIL 17: Mad Hatter Day Bring lunch and drink, favorite “crazy” hat, tea set, small blanket (optional) Come adorned with a crazy hat and get ready for a wacky day. In the a.m. learn all about author Lewis Carroll, and help make cookies and spice tea for our own tea party. In the p.m. we’ll enjoy a crazy hat fashion show, silly skits, and a design a crazy hat art contest—with prizes. Finally, we’ll enjoy crazy games like building a hat tower and a hat scavenger hunt.
FRIDAY APRIL 18 PP Day Bring pajamas in a bag, lunch & drink, slumber party games, pillow, $7 for Village Host Pizza
No, it’s not THAT kind of PP—it’s pajamas and pizza! Enjoy the creature comforts at Apple today as we make plans for the ultimate ” Slumber Party”. Lessons will focus on famed cartoon characters that are often the culprit of sleepless slumber parties, then its slumber party snacks, designing forts, a mock pillow challenge, balloon volleyball, twister, slumber party tall tales and pajama drama skits! We’ll also enjoy some delicious Village Host Pizza and video games—in our p.j’s---how embarrassing!
MONDAY APRIL 21 Egg Day Bring lunch & drink It’s all about eggs today as we design and then dye our own harboiled eggs in the morning. We’ll also play fun egg-centered games: Mother Hen, Come Home Naughty Chickens and Duck, Duck, Egg. Later, try some silly relay races: eggs on a spoon, egg hopping, and a fun game of passing the “hot” egg (no more hot potato). In the afternoon we’ll take our eggs to Rio Park to take turns hiding (and finding) them. We’ll finish off the day with the ultimate egg movie, The Ugly Duckling.

- Full Day Sessions (use of hours between 8:00-5:30) $35 1⁄2 day K and/or gr. 1-6 $25 Full Day K (Only for students paying regular monthly tuition for April)
- Extra Days/New Students $75 (Price for part time students requesting more days that usually attended or new students wishing to join)
- Afterschool Days (No fee if attending same days/times) 1⁄2 Day K (11-2:30) Gr 1+ 2:00-5:30 Full Day K 11:00-2:30 (Only for students paying regular monthly tuition for April). Please note: AFTERSCHOOL SESSION STUDENTS MUST BE PRE-REGISTERED BY APRIL 9TH; as we hire teacher based on anticipated attendance we may not be able to accept students who show up with pre-registering.
